It's that time of year, summer vacation season! Pack your bags, gas up the suv and grab extra chargers / batteries for all your electronic toys and hit the road. For those of you that haven't been to Maine, I highly recommend a visit to Portland. If you're looking for more relaxation, Sebago Lake sits about 20 miles Northwest of Portland and is very quiet and extremely beautiful! The lake is about 5 miles wide and 10 miles long, covering almost 50 square miles with clear crisp water. There is a local marina to rent jet skis, canoes, pontoon boats and just about anything you can imagine to do on the water. One tip, keep your phones on land and bring a few waterproof cameras. These are much cheaper than the $800+ cell phone cameras and with all the excitement on the water, you'll want as many water pics as possible. There are not thousands of houses and rentals around it, so even during the busy summer season, it remains very calm and quiet here. Most rentals will have grills to cook and there's a great little general store with everything from fishing rods to fresh meats. If your looking for a relaxing quiet summer getaway, I highly recommend Sebago Lake! Enjoy and record all your adventures!
