An Amazing Three Minutes

This video was shot in real time with the moon rising over Mount Victoria in the capital city of New Zealand, Wellington.  Mark worked very hard to pull this off and his perseverance certainly paid off.  Enjoy the action video...

After watching this video over and over, the first thing that came to my mind was location, location, location.  I'm always amazed that a house in rural Pennsylvania that is worth $250,000 would be worth around $850,000 if it were located in Long Island, New York, depending on the area.  You're probably lost.  I tend to do that with a lot of topics, but my point is, in order to get this action video to look this amazing, the photographer had to be in that exact location, which happened to be about 1 1/3 miles from the overlook and also had to be at the right elevation for this angle.  If he were anywhere else, it would just be a typical full moon rising.  Of course, there are other factors that were involved, such as the video camera lens, weather conditions, people walking and observing that night, but I feel the location of where this was shot made it absolutely breathtaking.

I hope you enjoyed this action video and would love to hear from you.  Thank you!
