Castle Island, Ireland

Drones and historical sites are great combinations. This you tube video of MacDermott's Castle is great way to see historical sites without leaving your house and without spending thousands of dollars to visit Ireland. I love traveling and seeing the world, but there are thousands and thousands of amazing towns and sites to see, but you will never be able to get to all of them. Using YouTube videos, especially drones with hd camera videos, you can easily navigate across the world watching video clips of the most beautiful and historical sites in the world within minutes and just a few clicks. This drone with hd camera clip explores MacDermott's Castle on Castle Island and is a National Monument and part of Lough Key National Park, located in County Roscommon, Ireland. A castle stood on this island since the 12th century and as you can imagine after several rebuilds had a fire in the 1950's and remains the way you see it today.

Lough Key Forest Park and Activity Park is an area of about 800 hectares of picturesque woodland and parkland with a lake and a number of wooded islands. It was once part of the Rockingham estate, owned by the MacDermott family. The park features an observation tower, wishing chair and underground tunnels. Wildlife is abundant in the diversity of habitats. Trinity Island on the lake has a ruined church. Moylurg Tower, standing on the site of Rockingham House which burned down in 1957, offers beautiful lake views. Park visitors can walk the Trinity Bridge, built in 1836 with limestone blocks and the Bog Garden with log stepping stones. The Park has a modern visitor center which is open year round with viewing towers and great views over the Lough. If you are lucky enough to make it here, dress warm and take lots of pictures or bring your drone with hd camera so you can post the next video clip on YouTube.
